Valve Radios
We repair and restore all makes of valve radio. Usually vintage receivers require most of the capacitors to be replaced and often some wiring improvements, along with any repairs. Whether your set has been hiding away in the loft or garage, or in everyday use but needs some TLC, we will bring your treasured radio back to life.
Transistor Radios
Often simply known as 'transistors', we specialise in repairing all types of transistor radio, from collectable pocket models to vintage table radios along with hi-fi tuners and receivers. We also repair vintage car radios (radio only, no cassette units).
Free Estimates
Estimates are free (except for return carriage). A full assessment is given and discussed with you prior to starting work. This is a hobby based business, which allows us to keep costs down, so timescales for repair do vary depending on current workload and complexity.
Cabinets
Restoration work also includes improving cabinet appearance where possible. Wood, Bakelite and Plastic cabinets can all be attended too. Individual requirements and possibilities will be discussed with you before any work commences.
